A Tale as Old as Time...

I got a free movie ticket from my Disney Rewards to go see Beauty and the Beast 3D, so I decided to take Bella today.  Nanny came along for the excitement.  This is only the second time Bella has gone to an actual movie theater to see a show (the first time was to see Tangled with cousins, Ann and Nellie).  This was also the first time all 3 of us had ever watched a movie in 3D so we were pretty excited.  I wasn't sure how Bella would do with the glasses.  She surprised me and left them on the whole time, well after I realized that I was wearing hers and she had mine.  The guy didn't tell me he was giving me 2 different sizes...LOL.  Here we are looking stylish!

Beauty and the Beast is one of my favorite Disney movies so of course, I loved it!!  Bella did too.  We had to take a potty break during the movie and she tells me, "Mommy, I like this movie.  I even like the scarey guy (the beast)."  She's so funny!!  We had such a great day.  I think our next adventure is going to be bowling!!

I Got my Husband Back!!

Jason took No-Shave November to the extreme again this year (except I think this time it was longer) and didn't shave for at least 3 months.  At first, I liked it.  About a month ago, I started to despise it.  It was unsightly to say the least.  So this is what he looked like a few days ago...

I told you it looked terrible.  I got out the clippers and started to work some magic.  This is what it looked like half way through...

Doesn't he look like Zach Galifianakis from The Hangover??  Next it was time for the beard to go...

Ladies and gentlemen....I have my husband back!!  It's so nice to see his handsome face again.  Maybe next year he won't go to this extreme again, but I won't hold my breath!

Bieber Fever

My 3 year old loves Justin Bieber!!  Awhile back Jenn and I rented the Never Say Never movie and Bella watched it with us.  That's when it all started.  After that, she would point out posters and dolls at the store. Then she started asking to watch him on the computer.  Now, she would sit and watch videos of him all day long if I would let her.  She's caught the fever...LOL  So the other day as she was watching a video on youtube and singing along with it, I hid the camera so I could record her (if she sees me with it in my hands she stops doing anything).  I was able to catch her and if you listen closely you can hear her.  I don't know what I'm gonna do with this girl!

Then, a couple weeks ago, they added the Never Say Never movie to Netflix and Bella wanted to watch it tonight.  She started dancing and singing, plus she took the guitar for the Wii and started "playing" it along to the music.  Luckily I had the camera nearby to catch her in the act.

Can you tell there is never a dull moment in this Standeford house :)

Peanut Butter Cookies

This evening I was having a sweet tooth and decided to dig through the cupboards to see if I had the ingredients to make peanut butter cookies.  Luckily, we did!!  I got everything dug out and got to work.  After I got it all mixed up, Bella wanted to help me.  She was scared of the mixer so didn't want any part of the beginning.  This was our first time making peanut butter cookies together.  I rolled the cookie dough into balls and coated them with sugar and Bella used the fork to "squish" them, as she called it.  She did a very good job and we had fun.  After the first batch though, she told me she was tired of squishing cookies and she was off to play.

I must say, they turned out very tastey.  Can't wait to try some different cookies with Bella.  I'm thinking chocolate chip next time....

A New Year

I know it's a few weeks late, but I would like to wish everyone a very Happy New Year!!  I decided I wasn't making any resolutions this year.  I never stick with them anyway.  The only things I want for this year is for my family to continue to be healthy and happy.  That brings me the most joy!!  If that could happen then it would be a happy year.

We are really hoping with the new year that we will be able to conceive and add to our little family.  We are on our fourth month of fertility treatments.  This past month my OB increased me from 50mg to 100mg.  We are hoping that does the trick because I can only take this medication for 3 more months.  If we are not successful this month, I go for blood work in 6 weeks and then we go from there.  Please keep us in your prayers and keep your fingers crossed that this works!!

The one thing we are looking forward to this year is Disney World.  We have been back and forth on the idea of taking Bella or not.  Well we found a great deal on a package and decided to go for it.  Since we are trying to get pregnant, we thought it would be great to do something extra special with Bella before another little one (or two, as Bella keeps telling me) joins our family.  We will be going from May 6-12.  Bella is so excited, which makes me completely excited!  It's going to be so much fun watching the joy in her eyes when she gets to see the castle and meet all the princesses!!  You can bet I'll be taking tons of pictures...

I hope everyone has enjoyed the start to the new year and that you are all blessed with happiness and everything you hope for this year!!
