Fertility

For those who don't know, Jason and I have been trying to get pregnant again for quite awhile now with no success.  After suffering from endometriosis for 6 years now, I don't know if it has finally taken it's toll on my fertility or what is happening, but for some reason I'm not ovulating regularly, if at all.  I went to my OB last week and he has decided to put me on the fertility drug Clomid.  It's a very timed out process but a lot easier and less expensive than most.  This is the last resort for us in trying to conceive our own child.  If this doesn't work then we will be done.  There is no way we could possibly afford IVF and we don't want to put ourselves through that either.  We just felt we needed to draw the line somewhere.  With the Clomid, if it works, I have a 1 in 35 chance of conceiving twins (with Jason's family history).  I'm okay with that, especially if it means we will be able to have our own child again.  We are just asking all of our family and friends to pray for us!!  It has definately been a difficult struggle but it's a good feeling knowing you have support from the people you love.  We will keep you all posted!!

Blueberry Festival Fun

Every year over Labor Day weekend, Plymouth host the Marshall County Blueberry Festival.  If you've never been, it's full of food, rides, music/performances, and tons of craft booths.  This year was the first year that Bella got to walk like a big girl and not have to sit in the stroller.  She enjoyed getting to watch the older girls at Senter Stage (where she goes to dance class) perform and she also got to ride the carousel with Pappy.  We watched the fireworks at Uncle Joe and Aunt Chelle's house.  This is the first year she wasn't scared of them.  On Labor Day, we went to the parade.  Bella was excited to see the fire trucks and all the bands that marched.  Here are a couple pics of our fun:

A Budding Photographer

Bella loves to get ahold of my camera and take pictures.  I must say for only being 3 she does do a pretty good job.  I just wanted to share a few of her shots with you all.

She told Pappy to act like a kangaroo

Who knows, maybe someday she will end up being a photographer like her Aunt Jenny and Aunt Rachel.

Dress Up Fun

On Saturday evening, we were going to head to the Blueberry Festival.  As we were leaving, a severe thunderstorm hit Plymouth and they canceled the festival for the rest of the evening.  So we ended up heading back home.  We decided to get out the "trunk" of Disney Princess outfits, shoes, jewelry, and Tinker Bell outfit that Bella got for her birthday and let her play dress up.  She was having a blast modeling all the outfits for us.  She even was putting her jewelry on her daddy which was definately a Kodak moment.

I love her as Tinker Bell but I also think she is an absolutely adorable Cinderella.  Can you tell she knows she's a princess?  Poor Jason better hope when we have another child that we have a boy, or he's definately in for it ;)

Fun at the Drive-In

A couple weeks ago, we took Bella to the drive-in to see "The Smurfs."  It was such a cute movie, Bella loved it, except for Gargamel.  We had a lot of fun.  I love family time, nanny and pappy even came along.

Bella was having fun showing off for the camera.  We usually get to go to the drive-in several times throughout the summer, but unfortunately this summer has been way to HOT to do anything!  I'm glad we at least got to go a couple times this year.

Burrito Baby

Everytime after her bath, I have always wrapped Bella up in a towel before drying her off and getting her dressed.  When she was about 18 months old, I started calling her my little burrito baby everytime I did this.  It's funny how this has stuck with her and that she loves when I do it.  Now everytime after her bath or shower she always says, "Mommy, I want to be your little rito baby."  It melts my heart everytime!!  It will be fun to see how long she lets me do this to her.  I'm just not sure how much longer I'll be able to carry her to her room like that...

Last Summer Trip to the Beach??

Toward the end of August, we took another trip up to Central Beach in Michigan City.  With the weather getting cooler, it looks like it may have been our last for the summer.  We had a good time and Bella definately enjoyed hunting for rocks.  We ended up bringing at least a couple dozen home.  Most kids would love to look for shells, but not mine.  Here are some pics from our day:

We are definately going to miss our trips up there and will be looking forward to next summer when we can go again!!
