Getting a Swingset

We have been tossing around the idea of getting Bella a swingset for quite some time now.  We knew we wanted to but were really hesitant to spend the money.  Well her dad and I finally figured, why not, she loves the park and it would just be so much easier to go out in the back yard and play.  The decision on which one to get was a tough one.  It definately had to be a wooden playset, we knew that much.  After comparing prices at Walmart and Lowes and considering what all they consist of, we decided on one from Walmart.  Here is the one we chose:

I check on the status and it should arrive at our local store on Friday.  We are super excited to get it put together so Bella can start enjoying it.  She knows that she is getting it and cannot wait.  The other day we had to head to Walmart to get a few odds and ends of things and she says, can we get my swingset today.  Such a silly girl!!  Will have pictures posted once we get it and I'll take pictures of the process of putting it together.  I'm sure that will be a real treat!!  Wish us luck!

Hopscotch and Other Outdoor Fun

Lately the weather has been terrible.  It's been rain, rain, thunderstorms, and more rain.  We have had very little sunshine lately.  Today, we were lucky enough to have a little break in the weather so we took advantage of it and went outside.  In the Easter basket Bella got in the mail from Gamma was a hopscotch game.  We decided to get that out and give it a try.  She got the idea of the game but doesn't have the whole hoping thing down yet.

Since the ground is so wet, we had to stay on the driveway and sidewalk while we played.  Bella decided then that she wanted to take her car for a "drive" up and down the driveway.

We also got out the kite that I had bough her last spring and she convinced Auntie to help her fly it.  Thankfully we live in a subdivision that has very little, if any, traffic.  They ran up and down the road several times before Jenn got wore out.  Then it was mommy's turn.  Who knew that flying a kite could be such a good workout.

It was so nice to be outside and get some fresh air.  I cannot wait until it can become an everyday thing!!  But for right now, we'll take what we can get :)

Easter Day

The Easter Bunny was good to Bella this year.  However, she didn't notice her basket until we got home from church.

Bella went shopping with Daddy and got me an Easter lilly.  He tried to convince her to get me one that had bloomed but she refused.  This is the one she picked out:

We decided not to spend the money on an Easter dress this year, especially since she would probably only wear it one time.  So I went digging through her closet and decided on one that her pappy bought her on clearance a few months back.  I figured it was cute enough for her to wear for Easer.  She seemed to love it too.

After church we had my parents over for lunch and we dyed Easter eggs.  This is the first year we have ever done this with Bella.  It went a lot better than I thought it would.  Wasn't quite as messy as I planned and she really seemed to love doing it.  We had just over a dozen eggs to color.  That was the perfect amount because after about the 10th one she started to get bored.  We ended up with some really pretty eggs!! :)

Can't wait to do this again next year!!  Hope everyone else had a wonderful Easter!!

Easter Egg Hunt

We celebrated Easter with my family the Sunday before Easter day.  We had a wonderful lunch and then we had an Easter egg hunt for all the kids.  Jenn, Heather, Krystal, and I hid the eggs for the kids.  Of course for the younger ones we hid them pretty easy, but for Caleb and Kasey we hid them super hard.  It was fun watching them try to find them.  Bella could have cared less about finding the eggs.  She was just enjoying watching the other kids look.  Overall, we had a beautiful day!!

Overnight in Indy

A couple weeks ago, I took my mom to Indy to see my uncle.  Him and his family were getting ready to move to California so she wanted to see him one last time before they left.  The kids had fun playing outside and we even were able to take them to the canal.  It was Bella's first time going to the canal and she loved it.  She just wasn't to sure about the ducks and the geese.

We miss them and wish them well on there new adventure!  At least now we have a new vacation spot!! :)
