A Budding Photographer

Bella loves to get ahold of my camera and take pictures.  I must say for only being 3 she does do a pretty good job.  I just wanted to share a few of her shots with you all.

She told Pappy to act like a kangaroo

Who knows, maybe someday she will end up being a photographer like her Aunt Jenny and Aunt Rachel.

Dress Up Fun

On Saturday evening, we were going to head to the Blueberry Festival.  As we were leaving, a severe thunderstorm hit Plymouth and they canceled the festival for the rest of the evening.  So we ended up heading back home.  We decided to get out the "trunk" of Disney Princess outfits, shoes, jewelry, and Tinker Bell outfit that Bella got for her birthday and let her play dress up.  She was having a blast modeling all the outfits for us.  She even was putting her jewelry on her daddy which was definately a Kodak moment.

I love her as Tinker Bell but I also think she is an absolutely adorable Cinderella.  Can you tell she knows she's a princess?  Poor Jason better hope when we have another child that we have a boy, or he's definately in for it ;)

Fun at the Drive-In

A couple weeks ago, we took Bella to the drive-in to see "The Smurfs."  It was such a cute movie, Bella loved it, except for Gargamel.  We had a lot of fun.  I love family time, nanny and pappy even came along.

Bella was having fun showing off for the camera.  We usually get to go to the drive-in several times throughout the summer, but unfortunately this summer has been way to HOT to do anything!  I'm glad we at least got to go a couple times this year.

Burrito Baby

Everytime after her bath, I have always wrapped Bella up in a towel before drying her off and getting her dressed.  When she was about 18 months old, I started calling her my little burrito baby everytime I did this.  It's funny how this has stuck with her and that she loves when I do it.  Now everytime after her bath or shower she always says, "Mommy, I want to be your little rito baby."  It melts my heart everytime!!  It will be fun to see how long she lets me do this to her.  I'm just not sure how much longer I'll be able to carry her to her room like that...

Last Summer Trip to the Beach??

Toward the end of August, we took another trip up to Central Beach in Michigan City.  With the weather getting cooler, it looks like it may have been our last for the summer.  We had a good time and Bella definately enjoyed hunting for rocks.  We ended up bringing at least a couple dozen home.  Most kids would love to look for shells, but not mine.  Here are some pics from our day:

We are definately going to miss our trips up there and will be looking forward to next summer when we can go again!!

My Little Tinker"belle" turns 3

On Friday, August 12, Bella turned 3.  I can't believe my baby is 3 already.  Where does the time go??  Well she decided she wanted to celebrate with a Tinkerbell party.  I told myself I was going to do simple, but then my Martha self gets in the way and I go overboard.  I made Bella a dress to wear for the party (got the idea from Lil Pink Pocket, her blog button is on the left), made all the girls that were coming to the party fairy halos, got them all fairy wings, and we even had them make fairy houses.  To top this off, I made all the cupcakes and Bella her own special cake too.  I'm crazy!!  The party though, was so much fun!!  It was so great to see family and Bella's little friend Olivia even came too.  As the years go on, I know I will have to scale down the parties.  I just can't help myself though!!  Here are some pics from the fun:

Thank you to everyone that came and helped Bella celebrate her special day!!  The weather was perfect and we had lots of fun!!

Little Beach Beauties

On Monday, John and Rachel decided to make a trip up to Central Beach at the dunes.  Since we had so much fun there a couple weeks ago, we decided to meet them over there again.  I think the girls are going to be beach bums!!  They went non-stop from about 11:30am until almost 6pm.  They had fun climbing the hill, splashing in the water, and playing in the sand.  I think they had the most fun chasing the seagulls, which was hillarous to watch.
Bella and Ann were "swimming"

Playing in the water and the sand

I couldn't believe that Bella was loving being in the water, sticking her face in and everything.  It's amazing what a difference a year, let alone a few weeks, makes!!  Can't wait to make another trip to the beach!
